All Wild Hive grains are:
- Locally sourced from the Hudson Valley and the immediate region. Minimizing transit time and distance helps preserve the grains’ full characteristics, reflecting the unique flavor of the land where it grows.
- Stone ground in our micro-mill. We grind fresh each week, so you get 100% of the germ and the full nutritional value and flavor from the whole grain.

Wild Hive Farm Fancy Polenta:
Our larger grind produces a polenta that delivers fresh corn flavor. Ideal for traditional Italian polenta, polenta cakes, and it can be served soft, firm, grilled or fried. Make extra, it never goes to waste.
Wild Hive Farm Fine Corn Meal:
A fine grind bursting with fresh corn flavor that’s perfect for corn muffins, cornbread, spoon bread, johnnycakes, hushpuppies, or corn fritters. Can also be used for tortillas, pancakes, arapas, and other delicious quick breads and cakes.
Wild Hive Farm Corn Flour:
A fine, smooth and silky grind imparting fresh corn taste that’s perfect for custards, and adds lightness and flavor to your favorite cake and pancake recipes. Thickens soups and stews and makes a super crust when used to dredge fish, chicken or vegetables (tempura) and roasted meat and veggies.
HARD RED SPRING WHEAT:
Wild Hive Farm Hard Red Whole Wheat Bread Flour:
A coarse grind with a full-bodied flavor. Bakes a delicious, satisfying whole wheat loaf of bread.
Wild Hive Farm Hard Red Clear 00 Flour:
A fine and silky grind with a robust flavor. Perfect for making a lighter whole germ loaf of bread, pizza, baguettes, bagels, rolls, and pasta.
Wild Hive Farm Hard Red Wheat Berries (Winter and Spring varieties):
This Hudson Valley wheat is a heritage variety and an excellent source of whole grain nutrition and rich flavor. Perfect for adding to soups, stews, grain salads, or on its own as a pilaf-style side dish. Can also be easily sprouted for extra nutrition and growing your own wheat grass.

Soft winter wheat has a nutty flavor. Clear AP Flour is a fine grind and perfect for producing delicious whole germ baked goods including biscuits, scones, muffins, pancakes, fruitcakes, bar cookies and pasta.

Wild Hive Farm Soft Wheat Pastry Flour:
This fine and silky grind has a delicate flavor. Perfect for tender and flaky piecrusts, sponge cakes, butter cookies, brownies, pasta and gingerbreads. Can be added to any flour in any recipe to add lightness, smoothness and superb flavor.
Wild Hive Farm Soft White Winter Wheat Berries:
A perfect source of whole grain nutrition and rich flavor. It adds a delicate wheat flavor and texture to soups, stews, grain salads, risotto, on its own as a pilaf-style side dish.
Wild Hive Farm “Special Blend” Flour:
A unique blend of Hard and Soft Wheat finely ground for a silky smooth texture. The blend offers a lower protein and gluten content but still maintains its “strength” for excellent bread baking results. This flour’s lower protein and gluten content replicates heritage wheat varieties grown in France and Northern Italy. It is ideal for creating a classic European style baguette, and a traditional Italian focaccia.
Wild Hive Farm Whole Spelt Flour:
Spelt is an ancient form of wheat that is coarsely ground with a nutty flavor. Spelt has a lower gluten content than modern wheat and a high mineral content making it a nutritious addition to anyone’s diet, and is often helpful for those with food sensitivities. Use it for pastries, pancakes, scones, biscuits, cookies, quick breads, and a delicate whole wheat-style pasta and enlivens any bread recipe.
Wild Hive Farm Spelt Berries:
Spelt is a large sized berry that’s a perfect source of whole grain nutrition and rich flavor. Perfect for adding to soups, stews, snappy grain salads, or on its own as a pilaf-style side dish. Can also be easily sprouted for extra nutrition.
Wild Hive Farm Whole Rye Flour:
A coarse, robustly flavored flour. There’s a slight hint of cinnamon scent and taste to fresh rye flour and it can be used to bake a traditional rye loaf, sour rye, and onion rye breads and rolls. It makes a sensational honey cake and can be used to easily build a full flavored active sourdough starter.
Wild Hive Farm Light Rye Flour:
This fine and silky grind has a delicate flavor. Great for creating a lighter style rye bread, cakes, cookies and crackers.
Wild Hive Farm Whole Rye Chops:
Cracked berries bursting with flavor, it makes an ideal substitute for any recipe that calls for pearl barley, makes a satisfying hot cereal, and a delicious whole grain side dish. It is popular with home brewers to add a unique quality to beers, ales and schnapps.

Wild Hive is committed to having our farmers grow hull-less oats which provides us with a source of oats that are unlike the oats grown for agribusiness that need to be de-hulled. The hulling process diminishes nutrition and the viability of the live seed. Our oat products taste better and fresher, because they are.
Wild Hive Farm Scottish Oat Meal (Hot Cereal):
Broken on the millstone to extract their excellent live oat flavor that reveals itself in hot cereals, fruit crisps, cookies, breads, and granola. Highly nutritious, excellent source of fiber and a proven heart healthy, delicious whole grain food. You can taste the difference with live oats.
